About The Position

As a Host / Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting all guests in person or by telephone, take accurate reservations using reservation system and communicate all guest request and accommodate any guest requests. You must be knowledgeable of Restaurant Menus, special events, the property and its personnel. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Greets guests escorts them to tables and provides menus. Inspects establishment and observes fellow employees and patrons to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and local liquor regulations. Schedules dining reservations and arrange special services for diners. Answers all calls with proper telephone etiquette. Makes accurate reservations using reservation system. Maps floor plan and staffing. Assists guests with coats, directions, special request, etc. Communicates daily covers for each meal period to Food and Beverage team. Liaison between guest and managers Maintains all menus are current and are in good condition. Perform any other duties assign by his/her manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of (2) years of restaurant host/hostess experience.
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience in a hotel environment.
  • Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field.
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
