About The Position

Responsible for courteously greeting and escorting guests to tables and assisting in seating, in a manner that exceeds the guests’ expectations. Maintains organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the host/wait areas and equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous customer relations experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to assure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
  • Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the restaurant and by telephone.
  • Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
  • Ability to provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow directions thoroughly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to stand or walk constantly, 100% of shift
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, push and pull materials throughout shift

Responsibilities

  • Sincerely and professionally greets and welcomes guests.
  • Maintains a professional presence at the restaurant’s entrance at all times.
  • Greets guests, escorts them to tables and provides menus.
  • Graciously manages the waiting lines and efficiently seats the guests.
  • Manages the seating flow of the dining room, including seating large parties.
  • Genuinely thanks the guests as they leave the restaurant.
  • Answers phones in a professional manner.
  • Knows store information (hours of operation, phone numbers, managers, location).
  • Knows the menu information and daily specials.
  • Understands the wait procedures and reservation policies.
  • Completes pre-shift set-up, running duties, and post shift closing duties.
  • Assists other team members in completing their assigned duties and tasks.
  • Cheerfully accommodates the needs and requests of any guest.
  • Responsible for the complete set-up, stocking and service of the host/hostess station and entrance.
  • Continuously maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Maintains and strictly abides by sanitation/health regulations.
  • Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
  • Adheres to all restaurant standards, policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as the needs arise.
