Gold Cup Wine Bar is a sophisticated dining venue known for its relaxed elegance, Virginia wines, handcrafted cocktails, and seasonal cuisine. We are seeking a friendly, polished, and service-focused Host/Hostess who enjoys engaging with guests and creating memorable dining experiences. The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth flow of the dining room. This role is essential in setting the tone for the guest experience through professionalism, organization, and genuine hospitality.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and escort them to their tables
- Manage reservations and dining room seating flow
- Coordinate table assignments with restaurant leadership
- Assist in maintaining an organized and professional host stand
- Present menus and communicate daily specials when needed
- Monitor dining room activity to support service efficiency
- Assist with guest requests and resolve minor service concerns
- Support team operations including light side work when needed
- Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
- Maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards at all times
