Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Staff Supervision & Leadership Provides direct supervision to Residential Area Managers (CAMs), including coaching, performance feedback, and accountability for program compliance and service outcomes. Provides direct supervision, guidance, and performance oversight of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) within assigned HOST homes, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, DBHDD regulations, and best practices. Supports performance management activities, including training, corrective action, and development planning in collaboration with senior leadership and People & Culture. Ensures staff schedules, coverage plans, and service delivery align with individual needs and regulatory expectations. Program Oversight & Compliance Provides professional oversight, coaching, and guidance to HOST Home Providers to ensure compliance with DBHDD standards, Medicaid Waiver requirements, and agency policies. Conducts pre-placement home inspections and evaluates ongoing placement appropriateness, safety, and regulatory compliance. Performs routine and as-needed monitoring visits (weekly/bi-weekly or as required) to assess service quality, documentation accuracy, and individual well-being. Leads efforts to identify compliance risks and implements corrective actions to maintain regulatory adherence. Completes quarterly audits of participant and provider files to ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance. Oversees subcontracted provider compliance with training, documentation, quality assurance, and service delivery standards. Provider Development & Support Coordinates and facilitates provider onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives. Participates in the recruitment, screening, and selection of HOST Providers and Direct Care Staff, as applicable. Provides technical consultation and problem-solving support to Providers to address service challenges and promote best practices. Individual Services & Advocacy Participates in ISP meetings and ensures services align with person-centered planning principles. Ensures individuals and families receive education regarding service options and community resources. Provides monthly updates to parents or guardians regarding individual progress and service outcomes. Incident Management & Risk Mitigation Conducts or oversees investigations related to incidents, allegations, and compliance concerns, ensuring thorough documentation and timely resolution. Reviews, prepares, and submits Critical Incident Reports (CIRs) in accordance with DBHDD and agency requirements. Develops, monitors, and ensures follow-through on Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address identified deficiencies and prevent recurrence. Administrative Leadership Prepares programmatic reports, billing documentation, and payroll information with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Collaborates with leadership to develop and revise program forms, procedures, and operational guidelines. Maintains accountability for documentation standards, confidentiality requirements, and records management. Communication & Team Collaboration Provides regular program updates to the Senior Director of Residential and HOST Services. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to improve service delivery and organizational outcomes. Participates in ongoing professional development and required training initiatives. On-Call Responsibilities Maintains availability for consultation and response to urgent program needs on a 24/7 rotational basis. Other Duties Performs additional responsibilities as assigned to support program effectiveness and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Special Education, or a related human services field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including at least one year in a supervisory or program coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of DBHDD regulations, Medicaid Waiver services, and person-centered service delivery models.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals served, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in written documentation, report preparation, and use of electronic health records and standard computer applications.
  • Must meet Georgia DBHDD criteria for a Developmental Disabilities Professional (DDP).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Ability to travel frequently within assigned service area.
