About The Position

Founded in 1975 as Hospital Housekeeping Systems, HHS now provides industry-leading support services to nearly 1,000 customers in healthcare, aviation, education, government, hospitality, and senior living. We are currently seeking Patient Ambassadors and Utility Workers in your area, starting at $17/hr . Shifts: AM & PM shifts available Location: 1710 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801 We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team-oriented individuals to join our hospital culinary team!
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in uniform
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
- Prolonged standing and continuous walking
- Frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform essential job functions
- Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal
- Deliver and collect patient menus promptly
- Stocking, cleaning, and maintaining an organized work area
- Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal service
- Adhere to all facility health, food safety, and sanitation procedures
- Assist team members and management as needed to ensure efficient department operations
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dish room, and storage areas
- Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with facility procedures
- Assist with stocking supplies, including food items, cleaning products, and kitchen tools
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks as needed
- Ensure all sanitation, safety, and infection control standards are strictly followed
- Clean and maintain floors, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries properly
