Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in the hotel/restaurant industry.
  • At least two years of supervisory or management experience in a hotel or restaurant related department.
  • Sound working knowledge of the hotel and restaurant industries.
  • Knowledge of sanitation laws, health regulations, and applicable OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • College 4-year degree preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to receive and maintain all required certifications, including ServeSafe.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the company Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Display 'Family Style Service' to deliver the best experience to guests.
  • Assist in creating a strong team that works together toward common goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Interact positively with all guests and employees.
  • Plan, communicate, and implement procedures for efficient operations.
  • Oversee high standards of guest service and maintain good employee relations.
  • Provide on-the-job training for all employees in the Hospitality Departments.
  • Address safety hazards and ensure proper signage is displayed.
  • Develop supervisory staff for effective succession planning.
  • Oversee staffing levels to ensure exemplary service while controlling labor expenditures.
  • Complete all company-required training and ensure staff compliance.
  • Assist the Hospitality Manager with departmental training materials.
  • Maintain cost and expenses to maximize profitability.
  • Protect company assets and ensure tight cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies at par levels.
  • Maximize hotel occupancy and ADR through collaboration with the Revenue Management Team.
  • Analyze and make decisions to maximize revenues in F&B outlets.
  • Oversee hospitality division employees through training, coaching, and evaluations.
  • Recognize and reward positive employee performance and guide improvement on negative performance.
  • Participate in the development of realistic performance goals.
  • Perform marketing and public relations duties.
  • Report and review activities with the Hospitality Manager.
