About The Position

The Hospitality Experience Manager at Gorman and Company is responsible for enhancing guest experiences across multiple hotels, including The Stella Hotel and Ballroom, The Brewhouse Inn & Suites, and The Embassy Suites. This role involves leading the design and execution of diverse events, managing entertainment contracts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure successful event promotion and execution. The position requires a creative and energetic individual who can thrive in a fun and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field, such as Hospitality, Communication, Marketing or Business.
  • Two to three years experience in Event Planning or similar role, preferably in Hospitality or a related industry.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate new content ideas and adapt to current trends.
  • Demonstrate innovative event production and a passion for curating memorable experiences.
  • Manage event logistics, contracts, vendors, licensing, and permitting for all special events and festivals.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, production, and evaluation of diverse events, including curated & themed events, live music, and performance-based entertainment.
  • Scout and negotiate with local and regional talent, curating unique entertainment offerings and specialty programming.
  • Manage entertainment contracts, performance schedules, licensing, and vendor agreements for events.
  • Develop creative themes and ensure seamless on-site management from setup to breakdown for events across multiple cities.
  • Promote events through all appropriate website and social media sites.
  • Coordinate local media when appropriate for both paid and unpaid media exposure.
  • Provide media assets before, during and after the events.
  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to ensure successful promotion and execution of events.
  • Serve as a liaison with local organizations and outside groups to enhance community involvement in events.
  • Determine ROI on each event and promotion and analyze post event to determine effectiveness.
  • Continue to monitor and evaluate initiatives and improve as needed.
