About The Position

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its well-established Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, New York, delivering high-quality, mission-driven inpatient care in a supportive, physician-led environment with strong specialty backup. Job Description: The Nocturnist Physician will: Provide overnight inpatient care at St. Joseph’s Hospital (7 PM – 7 AM schedule) Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge Deliver patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care Participate as part of a respected, collegial Hospitalist team Work within a physician-led governance structure Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings Experience is REQUIRED, will not accept fresh graduates Not accepting Locums candidates Not accepting Visa Candidates Compensation based on experience

Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • Board Eligible
  • DEA State License Requirements
  • New York Additional License Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Experience is REQUIRED
