About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to provide high-quality inpatient care at AdventHealth Orlando. The Hospitalist will manage admitted patients, collaborate with surgical and specialty services, and provide consultative general internal medicine support in an acute care setting. ---------------------------------------- SCHEDULE OPTIONS Option 1: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Compensation: $210,000 annually Type: W-2 Includes: Malpractice & Tail Coverage, CME, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Option 2: Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Compensation: $105,000 annually Type: 1099 Includes: Malpractice & Tail Coverage Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Patient Census: Approximately 18–22 patients per day, including admissions ----------------------------------------

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Board Certified or Board Eligible (IM or FM)
Active Florida medical license in good standing
Active or eligible DEA license

Responsibilities

Assess, evaluate, and manage patients in the acute care setting
Perform histories and physical examinations
Diagnose and actively manage patient conditions with daily care plans
Attend multidisciplinary rounds
Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting
Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled medications
Consult with specialists and referring physicians as needed
Coordinate referrals to appropriate levels of care when indicated
Promote efficient resource utilization and adherence to clinical pathways
