We are recruiting for a mission-driven Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Denver Health. The Hospitalist Physician is responsible for providing care to patients during their stay at a hospital. Their duties include managing schedules for inpatient treatments and coordinating care providers, ordering tests and maintaining medical records for their patients. This role involves following up on patient care, discussing patient care with nurses, resolving problems, coordinating care between different doctors, serving as a point of contact for hospital staff, and maintaining communication with the patient’s family. Physicians also serve on committees to help improve efficiency, patient care, and infection control while fostering teamwork and improving communication between staff and physicians, and serve as a working liaison between administration and physicians. Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited medical school and completed accredited residency program and fellowship for specialist, or equivalent.
  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities
