This role involves following up on patient care, discussing patient care with nurses, resolving problems, coordinating care between different doctors, serving as a point of contact for hospital staff, and maintaining communication with the patient’s family. Physicians also serve on committees to help improve efficiency, patient care, and infection control while fostering teamwork and improving communication between staff and physicians, and serve as a working liaison between administration and physicians. Denver Health's purpose shapes its culture and guides how it shows up for patients, communities, and one another, striving to improve lives, advance health equity, and strengthen the communities it serves.
