The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Neurologist (Hospitalist Neurologist) to join its hospital-based neurology team in Frederick, MD. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology; eligible for Maryland medical licensure.
  • Prior inpatient or hospital-based neurology experience preferred; strong new graduates and fellows are welcome to apply.
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and inpatient consultations.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizure disorders, altered mental status, neuromuscular conditions, and movement disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
  • Interpret neuroimaging, EEGs, and other diagnostic studies as clinically indicated.
  • Participate in daily inpatient rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Contribute to hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and best-practice development.
