About The Position

The Hospital Supervisor is responsible for personnel, management, and coordination of clinical service activities for scheduled shift, in accordance with established philosophy, objectives, and policies of the hospital to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. Relates effectively with the team for continuity of care and i n the absence of the director manages the areas across the healthcare system. Rounds on patients to focus on the 5 Star Patient Experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with additional preparation in supervision/nursing leadership.
• Three years progressive nursing experience.
• Organized, goal directed, budget oriented, assertive, and patient focused.
• Able to problem solve and make sound effective decisions.
• Skills in communication, collaboration, leadership, and education.
• Knowledge of new trends/techniques in nursing.
• Sound clinical skills.
• Able to problem solve and handle multitasks.
• Knowledge of staffing.
• Knowledge of labor contract implementation.
• Ability to apply nursing process theory to management activities.
• Some computer skills required.
• Able to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrates fairness.
• Able to support the facilities mission, goals, and philosophy.
• Current applicable state registered nurse license.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire required.
• ACLS certification current or within one year of hire.
