About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking a Hospital Social Worker to join their Social Work team. This per diem position focuses on picking up weekend shifts only. Medical Social Workers provide patients and families with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses within a hospital setting. The role involves delivering professional and thorough social work services, including psychosocial assessment and intervention planning. As a social worker, you will support patients and family caregivers, providing patient education and counseling, and making referrals for other services. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with various internal and external partners, patients, families, and physicians to facilitate patient care.

Requirements

• MSW from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or a similar accreditation body designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work
• LGSW, LISW or LICSW Licensure - MN Board of Social Work
• 1 year of experience in healthcare or social services (2 years of social work experience in LICSW)
