The Security Supervisor position is responsible for the oversight of maintaining a safe and secure Children's campus. The Security Supervisor will supervise security staff (officers and dispatchers), including assigning work, training, coaching, and discipline. The Security Supervisor's core role is to promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and hospital employees. Must possess excellent multi-tasking abilities Must be capable of prioritizing tasks and setting priorities in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment Excellent verbal, writing and computer skills required Must be able to prepare verbal and written reports Must complete and pass use of force training within 30 days of hire Must be able to pass handcuffing and chemical agent training Must complete and pass Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within 90 days of hire Must be able to wear respiratory protection (N-95 respirator, full face respirator and PAPR), be fit tested and able to pass respirator physical Must possess a valid driver's license (must meet minimum criteria of Children's Minnesota Fleet Safety Management policy) Must be able to successfully pass background checks of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and Department of Human Services (DHS)
