About The Position

Hospital Facilities Manager Location: On-site – Beckley, WV This is not a maintenance-by-clipboard role. We need a hands-on, driven Facilities Manager to take charge of an aging hospital facility that requires immediate attention, strong leadership, and operational turnaround. This building needs upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and disciplined execution — and we need someone ready to step in and lead from the front. You will serve as the single point of contact for facilities operations, overseeing plant operations, compliance, budgeting, vendor management, and team performance. This role demands visibility in the field, mechanical room presence, and the ability to make real-time decisions that impact critical healthcare operations. Requirements

  • 5+ years in facilities, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance leadership
  • Proven budget and personnel management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lead from the floor — not just the office
  • U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree or technical trade background
  • CHFM, CPMM, CFM, or similar certifications
  • experience revitalizing older facilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively support plant operations in a highly hands-on environment
  • Stabilize and improve aging systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance (NFPA 101, safety, hazardous materials, etc.)
  • Manage operational budgets and drive KPI/SLA performance
  • Oversee vendors and critical maintenance projects
  • Build accountability, safety culture, and technical strength within the team
