About The Position

Harborview Medical Center - Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy has an outstanding opportunity for a Hospital Assistant / Rehab Therapy Aide. This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment with a great team of therapists. Requirements

  • Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
  • Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Orders and stocks equipment
  • Managing and organizing supply areas
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, including but not limited to periodic monitoring, safety inspection, and regular cleaning, maintenance, and set up
  • Assisting clinical staff in miscellaneous tasks including record retrieval, filing, faxing, photocopying, arranging for interpreter services, charge preparation, and compilation
  • Direct patient care including ADL’s, exercise, ambulating or positioning as directed by the therapy clinician, and safety support during groups or patient treatment
