Hospital Admissions Coordinator Camber Connect Admissions Department Make a meaningful impact—right from the first call. KVC/Camber Connect is seeking a detail-driven, compassionate Hospital Admissions Coordinator to support the intake and assessment process for short-term hospitalization of children and youth. This fast-paced role is a vital part of the treatment team and often serves as a primary point of contact with families, physicians, nurses, utilization review teams, and health plans. Collaborative, professional environment with opportunities to grow. Pay: $18.00 per hour base rate. Shift Differentials: +$1.00/hour for overnight shifts and +$2.00/hour for weekend shifts. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Coordinate intakes and assessments for short-term hospitalization. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete assessments and appropriate referrals. Complete intake and assessment documentation with patients and families. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations. Frequent communication with health plans, physicians, nurses, utilization review teams, and community partners. SCHEDULE Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Training: 100% in person for at least the first two weeks. After Training: Fully remote. EDUCATION Required: Associate’s degree and one year of experience in a human services field. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Human Relations) or Criminal Justice. EXPERIENCE Experience working with economically disadvantaged, vulnerable, or at-risk youth and/or young adults. Preferred minimum of two years of experience directly related to the duties of the role. CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license. Valid auto insurance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accept and process intake calls, walk-ins, and referrals for the KVC Psychiatric Hospital. Ensure children and youth receive timely, accurate, and complete intake and assessment services. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality for child, youth, and family information. Interface frequently with health plans and accurately document and share information. Gather, compile, and enter data accurately into the data management system. Stay current on KVC policies, procedures, programs, and community resources. Communicate clearly and respectfully—both verbally and in writing—with families, staff, and partner agencies. Demonstrate strong active listening, interpersonal skills, and cultural competence. Maintain proficiency in agency computer applications. Keep waiting and work areas clean, organized, and welcoming. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and in-services as required. Promptly notify leadership of reportable conditions, incidents, or investigations. Obtain supervisor approval for trainings, check requests, vacation, and reimbursements.
