Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Social Sciences or related field (or comparable experience)
- 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare (hospice preferred)
- Experience working with volunteer programs
- Knowledge of hospice philosophy and end‑of‑life care
- Valid driver’s license and commitment to ethical, compliant practice
Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, train and assign hospice and home health volunteers
- Coordinate volunteer orientation, education and ongoing support
- Maintain volunteer records, documentation and required reports
- Assign volunteers based on patient and family needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and evaluate volunteers and serve as liaison between volunteers and care teams
- Ensure compliance with CHAP, Medicare and organizational standards
