The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $16.60 to $23.71. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
