About The Position

Join a thriving and growing home health organization as we expand our services into hospice. Interim Healthcare , celebrated for our commitment to excellence and a work environment that employees love, we serve patients across the Houston metro area. As we begin our hospice expansion, we are looking for a compassionate Chaplain to support our patients and their families during challenging times. Employment Type : This position will grow as our hospice service line grows. Initially this role is envisioned as PRN, or part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time in the near future.

Requirements

• Endorsement by a recognized religious/spiritual body.
• Experience in hospice or healthcare chaplaincy.
• Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills.
• Understanding of and sensitivity to a diverse patient population and their varied belief systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual support and counseling to patients and their families.
• Conduct spiritual assessments of patients and implement appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Facilitate religious or spiritual rituals as requested by patients.
• Offer crisis intervention and bereavement support.
• Participate in the development and delivery of patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding spiritual care.
• Participate in biweekly interdisciplinary team meetings.
