As a Hospice Biller you are responsible for all collection aspects for assigned payors through collection efforts, correct eligibility and proper claim processing. Completing your job assignments timely and accurately affect patient satisfaction and quality outcomes. Requirements

High-School graduate or equivalent.
Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude.
Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions.
Problem solving and create solutions to drive to a course of action.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree preferred.
At least three years of experience in the Health Care industry and experience in home care is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist clients, their families and co-workers in understanding billing procedures and payment.
Communicate with employees, clients, and vendors regarding services.
Collect and follow up on accounts for payment in full, processes remittances for any full paid, partially paid or denied items.
Send all electronic and paper claim resubmissions or correct claims.
Make recommendations regarding difficult payors with regards to prompt payments and claims processing.
Correct claims and rebill for payment.
Follow all legal rules and regulations, and attends in-services, educational programs and meetings as necessary.
