About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, Horticulture, the Project Coordinator, Horticulture holds responsibility for the successful execution of Seasonal Décor projects from start to finish. This position supports department leadership by aligning oneself with the departmental vision and coordinating the creation, administration, compliance and completion of horticultural projects within Yaamava’ Resort and Casino. The Project Coordinator, Horticulture, collaborates both internally and externally to ensure projects are executed timely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience working as project management assistant or related capacity required.
  • Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
  • Must have excellent listening, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or related field and/or license/registration in Horticulture, Business Management or Event Management preferred.
  • Experience with event planning preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Executes the successful completion of Horticulture projects. Coordinates internal resources and third parties and/or vendors for flawless execution of each Seasonal Décor projects. Collaborates both internally and externally to guarantee efficient project completion.
  • Develops and maintains project performance databases that track overall progress and the accomplishment of specific milestones via project management software (ex. Smart sheets and Excel). Establishes procedures and implements process improvement projects to support with efficient project coordination.
  • Tracks orders, floral deliveries, and special event needs. Ensures all floral projects are on-time, within scope and within assigned budget.
  • Prepares renderings and project designs via design software (Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCad). Collects information, organizes and reports on key project metrics and dashboards as requested by department leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
