The Scheduler is responsible for effectively and efficiently scheduling caregivers to ensure continuity of care for clients. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage last-minute changes, ensure adequate staffing, and maintain positive relationships with clients and caregivers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
  • Previous experience in scheduling, staffing, or administrative coordination (home care or healthcare industry a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and last-minute changes
  • Proficient with scheduling software, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain daily schedules for caregivers based on client care plans and availability
  • Communicate assignments and updates to caregivers clearly and promptly
  • Ensure all shifts are staffed and coverage is maintained, including responding to callouts and emergencies
  • Match caregivers with clients based on skills, preferences, and geographic location
  • Maintain up-to-date records in scheduling software and client databases
  • Work closely with care coordinators, nurses, and management to address scheduling needs and concerns
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and caregivers
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new caregivers as needed
  • Assist with weekly payroll processing as needed
  • Assist with client billing as needed
