About The Position

We are a growing homecare agency committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our clients and their families. As we scale, we're looking for an Operations Manager to serve on our leadership team, drive the operations of the agency, lead our caregivers, and help us grow. About the role: This is a leadership role reporting directly to the agency owner. You will be the operational backbone of the agency, the person who keeps caregivers supported, clients well-served, and the business running smoothly day to day.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a caregiver workforce
  • Strong knowledge of homecare scheduling, HR compliance, and state regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with caregivers, clients, families, and referral partners
  • A problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and takes ownership without being told twice
  • A leader who takes pride in building something, not just managing it

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling & staffing: Own the daily and weekly caregiver schedule end-to-end. Manage shift coverage, handle real-time call-outs, and ensure every client has consistent, reliable care.
  • Recruiting & caregiver onboarding: Partner with our recruiter on the hiring pipeline and conduct final-round interviews. Lead onboarding from offer to first shift, including background checks, orientation, credentialing, and compliance documentation.
  • Caregiver supervision & HR compliance: Serve as the primary leader for our caregiver team. Address day-to-day concerns, coach performance, support retention, and maintain caregiver files and compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
  • Client services & communication: Manage routine client and family communication, including scheduling updates, non-urgent concerns, and relationship maintenance. Escalate major issues to the agency owner. Conduct initial intake calls with prospective clients and gather information to set up owner assessments.
  • Business development support: Support outreach and relationship-building with referral sources, hospital partners, and community contacts. Help drive growth by representing the agency professionally in the field.
  • Agency leadership: Step in as the decision-maker when the owner is unavailable. Help build systems, processes, and a culture that supports our team and our mission as we grow.
