About The Position

As an Occupational Therapist with Shands Homecare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services in accordance with organizational policies, professional standards, and all applicable healthcare regulations. You will proactively assess patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide patients toward clearly defined, measurable outcomes that support safe, independent living. You’ll work with the support of the Director of Rehabilitation (or designee) and may provide clinical guidance to an Occupational Therapy Assistant—giving you both autonomy and leadership opportunities. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree)
  • Active Florida OT license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year of demonstrated expertise in a specialty area such as: Home Care Women’s Health Sports Rehabilitation Neurology Wound Care Orthopedics Pediatrics
  • Ability to function as a frequent driver, using a personal or company vehicle for patient visits (as defined by organizational policy)
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with motor vehicle requirements
