About The Position

This position will teach homebound students, providing a variety of learning services and serving as the liaison between school and home.

Requirements

• Minnesota teaching license.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrates ability to successfully manage time and materials effectively.
• Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Behaves in a professional and ethical manner.
• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to teach up to 25 hours per week including but not limited to regular school hours.
• Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
• Ability to travel to home and/or community locations.
• Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.

Nice To Haves

• Minnesota K-12 Special Education license.

Responsibilities

• Provides learning experiences in a variety of settings for students unable to attend school due to illness or injury.
• Serves as liaison between home and school.
• Maintains appropriate student supervision to provide a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Implements instructional activities provided by the student's teacher of record.
• Picks up and delivers student assignments.
• Maintains appropriate records to document student progress.
• Maintains a dependable homebound/homebased schedule and positive learning environment.
• Implement technology for instructional delivery as appropriate.
• Completes and submits required documentation for payment of services in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
