About The Position

Home Supervisor Overview The Home Supervisor ensures the safety, structure, and therapeutic support of youth in a residential treatment setting. This role combines hands-on care with leadership-overseeing staff, maintaining a positive home environment, and supporting each student's growth and transition to the next level of care. Key Responsibilities Safety & Care Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth Lead and direct interventions, including crisis response when needed Ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans and program expectations Promote healthy routines, behavior management, and daily living skills Leadership & Staff Management Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Home staff Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing development Lead staff meetings and trainings; ensure policy compliance Foster a positive, professional, and accountable team culture Program Oversight Partner with clinical teams to implement individualized treatment plans Monitor home dynamics, student interactions, and overall environment Ensure proper documentation, schedules, and daily operations Oversee home logistics (medications, transportation, cleanliness, supplies) Communication & Collaboration Build strong relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in treatment, leadership, and planning meetings Maintain clear, timely communication across departments Operations & Administration Manage home resources and contribute to budgeting Ensure compliance with policies, licensing, and regulatory standards Oversee accurate and timely documentation and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in residential treatment or youth services (or equivalent leadership experience)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to de-escalate and support high-needs youth
  • CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • Valid driver's license; must be 21+
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations, including use of approved safety holds
  • Capable of standing, moving, and lifting with assistance as needed
  • Comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced environments
  • Able to remain calm and therapeutic during conflict or aggression
