As a Home Shopping Department Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of the online grocery fulfillment process—from selecting the highest‑quality products to ensuring on‑time delivery. You will lead a team of 15 to 30 associates responsible for picking, staging, loading, and delivering customer orders. This position requires a highly engaged, multitasking leader who can quickly solve problems, maintain exceptional customer service standards, and drive strong operational performance. You will play a critical role in growing E‑Commerce sales, meeting key metrics, and ensuring consistent, positive customer experiences. Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day E‑Commerce operations and oversight of picker performance.
  • Ensure high‑quality selection of produce and in‑code product.
  • Verify that all customer orders are accurately picked, staged, and prepared for on‑time delivery.
  • Audit order completion and accuracy regularly.
  • Achieve and maintain E‑Commerce performance expectations, including:
  • Minimum 90 picks per hour
  • 97% in‑stock fulfillment
  • Less than 3% out‑of‑stocks
  • Zero missing items
  • Observe picker and driver practices to ensure adherence to operational standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Store Directors, department managers, receivers, vendors, and Operations Managers to ensure product availability and freshness.
  • Manage the re‑shop process to reduce out‑of‑stocks and minimize substitutions.
  • Monitor future item demand and adjust needs accordingly.
  • Attend weekly Store Director and department manager meetings to ensure alignment and performance accountability.
  • Partner with the Store Director and Operations Manager to interview, hire, train, coach, mentor, and manage E‑Commerce associates.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistent performance and service excellence.
  • Schedule team members to meet efficiency and productivity expectations.
  • Proactively manage customer interactions, including inbound calls, follow‑up communications, and escalations.
  • Resolve service concerns promptly and process customer refunds in a timely manner.
  • Ensure every order reflects a superior customer experience from selection to delivery.
  • Manage all E‑Commerce assets, equipment, supplies, and undelivered product.
  • Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of E‑Commerce staging and storage areas.
  • Use company computer applications and E‑Commerce platforms to manage orders, communicate directives, and review performance reports.
  • Perform customer pick‑up services (Drive Up & Go) and support delivery partners as needed.
