JOB ADVERTISEMENT APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: HOME SHARING COORDINATOR/ CNM1 CHILDREN’S SERVICES, LIMERICK PERMANENT PART-TIME CONTRACT (18.75 Hours Per Week). Salary: €56,642-€66,705 Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work. REF: 93279 Avista provide Residential, Day and Respite Services to people with an Intellectual Disability. Avista Homesharing Respite Services Limerick facilitate Children with complex disabilities availing of short respite breaks in the home of a contracted host carer. The successful candidate for this post will work as part of Avista Children Services Limerick and under direction of the Principal Social Worker as part of a small co-ordinating team. We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting children with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.

Requirements

  • Candidates to have recognised third level qualification in Nursing (CNM1 level); up to date NMBI registration/RNID
  • Be registered with NMBI, RNID qualification essential with experience of supporting people with complex health needs, autism and behaviours of concern.
  • Have excellent assessment skills for the purpose of devising adequate care plans with parents and host carers
  • Possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Proven organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Have an ability to work effectively with families/host carers and the wider MDT e.g. having previous experience of working closely with families and members of an MDT
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience preferably in working with Adults and Children with intellectual disabilities.
  • Candidates must have experience of report writing, knowledge of personal support plans, roster management, budget development, financial management.
  • Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
  • Proficiency in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in management .
  • Experience of delivering training is desirable
  • Completion of a recognised Management Training is desirable
  • Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework .
