About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting professional to join our team as a Home Loan Specialist I, with a focus on Income Analysis and Loan Processing. This entry-level role supports various business channels and plays a key part in ensuring efficient loan operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing income types—including financial, rental, business, and military—and ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

Prior experience in accounting, finance, or customer service is a plus
Strong understanding of loan processing and investor guidelines
Excellent analytical skills, especially in assessing DTI and LTV ratios
Proven track record of delivering accurate work in a fast-paced environment
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills
General understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Financial services or mortgage industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform routine data entry and validation tasks
Initiate third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood certification, credit, etc.)
Review and validate loan documents for accuracy and completeness
Handle routine inquiries via phone, email, and chat
Assign and distribute workloads across the team
Evaluate and process loan applications, ensuring all conditions are met
Pause processing when credit or documentation issues arise
Rework loan files to meet investor guidelines, including DTI and LTV requirements
