About The Position

The WOCN is responsible for the care and/or oversight of care of patients with acute and chronic disorders of the integumentary system. Provides education and consultation with patients, family, physicians, and other staff member in implementing appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient care. This is a position that requires interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, practices, and subject areas within the area of Wound & Ostomy Therapy Nursing. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Manager.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
Licensed as a Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
Wound Certified Clinician; certified as WCC, CWCN, CWOCN
Certified in Conservative Debridement preferred
Current BLS Certification required prior to start

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
Certified in Conservative Debridement preferred
