Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active PTA license in the state of Michigan
  • Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Comfortable traveling within the local service area
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and movement

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients’ homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Follow individualized Plans of Care and communicate patient progress or changes promptly
  • Support patients in improving mobility, balance, endurance, and overall function
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive equipment
  • Document care accurately while adhering to state regulations and physician orders
  • Perform hands-on, physical work including transfers and patient assistance
  • Participate in flexible scheduling or occasional on-call needs as required
