About The Position

Custom Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Home Health and Hospice Marketing Representative to join our dynamic and growing team! This is a 100% field-based position, primarily covering Western Oakland County and Northern Wayne County. If you have a clinical background or familiarity with medical terminology, it’s a significant advantage! The Home Health and Hospice Marketing Representative is responsible for implementing and managing sales and marketing efforts with minimal supervision while exercising independent judgment. You’ll act as an advisor to referral sources, addressing their unique needs and ensuring optimal utilization of our services.

Requirements

  • Expertise in marketing strategies, processes, and techniques.
  • Strong database management, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of hospice Medicare benefits and the long-term care industry.
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing, Health Services Administration, Communications, or Business Administration.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years in health services administration.
  • 2+ years in sales and marketing roles.
  • 1+ year of experience in the long-term care industry or home health
  • A plus if you have nursing or social work background

Responsibilities

  • Promote Services: Present Custom’s service lines to accounts in your territory, maintain existing relationships, and conduct lead prospecting activities.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in professional and community events and marketing meetings.
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed marketing quotas using cost-effective strategies to reach targets.
  • Market Research: Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify referral source requirements.
  • Education & Advocacy: Explain Medicare/Hospice benefits to patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Content Creation: Develop promotional materials under the guidance of the Strategic Planning Director and present to community professional groups.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records for all marketing contacts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend ways to enhance marketing strategies and participate in co-marketing activities.
