About The Position

Senior Helpers is hiring qualified Home Health Aides for immediate starts on all shifts for clients in the Mount Dora area. Starting pay is $15 per hour for weekday shifts and $16 per hour for weekend shifts. Extra pay for all holiday shifts. Job Description Caregivers at Senior Helpers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Caregiver duties include helping clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, grooming and toileting. Examples include:

Requirements

Previous professional experience providing personal care, specifically for a private-duty home care agency or in a care facility
Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
Must be at least 18 years of age
Active CPR certification from an in-person, hands-on American Heart Association certified course.
Reliable transportation to and from shifts
Excellent communication skills with a kind, caring and compassionate demeanor

Responsibilities

Companionship (playing games, talking, going for walks)
Light housekeeping, including laundry
Meal planning and preparation
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as showering, eating, and grooming
Transfer assistance between bed, chairs, wheelchairs, etc.
Transportation to appointments and errands
Medication reminders
