HHA - Home Health Aide Professional with Full Care Support (4-Hour Shift) in Westside Cuyahoga
About The Position
We're hiring compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) for ongoing care positions providing essential in-home support to our clients. This role is ideal for caregivers who are passionate about helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, and independence at home while building meaningful connections with the people they care for. Caregivers in this role will provide max assist for all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), support with strength and coordination exercises, endurance, range of motion (ROM), balance, and all mobility needs while helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. Current schedule available is a 4-hour daily shift, schedule to be determined (TBD). We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, patient, and committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to those who depend on it. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of documented home care assistance and/or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc.
- Certified CPR
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required)
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
- Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
- Up-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B

- Successful completion of a nursing assistant or certified home health aide program
Responsibilities
- Provide max assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Support safe mobility and transfers while assisting the client with all movement and positioning needs
- Assist with strength and coordination exercises, endurance support, range of motion (ROM), balance, and overall mobility needs
- Offer companionship and emotional support to ensure client comfort, dignity, and well-being
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to supervisors or case managers
- Follow the established care plan and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Provide client-facing care as assigned
- Provide assistance with daily tasks as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
- Provide companionship, personal and hygiene care as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and assisting with measurements, if necessary
- Assist clients with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment
- Adhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
