Requirements

  • Valid HHA or PCA certification in New York State.
  • Previous experience in home health care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for helping others.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare practices and procedures.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health and well-being to healthcare professionals
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations while providing care.
