About The Position

A Home Care CNA/Scheduler will work as a Home Care CNA Monday-Friday in home one on one with client following the plan of care and will assist as home care scheduler as needed. The Home Care CNA scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the schedules of home care staff to ensure clients receive timely and efficient care. Here are some key responsibilities typically associated with this role

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (some positions may prefer higher education).
  • Prior scheduling experience is often preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of supervised work experience as a nurse aide in a skilled nursing or acute care setting (one year preferred).
  • Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification and current in required in-services.
  • Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations.
  • Current listing with no substantiated findings on the state Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, means of transportation and ability to meet UCHS auto insurance carrier's standards for coverage is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monday- Friday with on call every other weekend (You will not actively work on weekends unless schedule can't be covered)-Being on-call means you're available to address urgent issues or last-minute changes, but you won't need to actively work unless there's a gap in the schedule that needs to be filled. This arrangement ensures that clients always receive the care they need while providing flexibility for the staff.
  • Position will back up scheduler as needed, will mostly work as a CNA in the home seeing clients and cross train in scheduling.
  • Assist to create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage as a back-up.
  • Assist with coordination of clients to identify their needs and preferences.
  • Manage last-minute changes to schedules and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Maintain updated records of staff availability and clients’ needs.
  • Communicate regularly with staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and report preparation as a backup.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to home care services.
