About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to clients in Fort Gratiot Township, MI. This role focuses on assisting individuals with daily living activities to enhance their independence and well-being in the comfort of their own homes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or related field is a plus, but NOT required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift as required.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
- Must pass background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility and transferring safely.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands when necessary.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional condition and report any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Follow individualized care plans and comply with safety and health guidelines.
