About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide client-specific care in Spokane Valley. The ideal candidate will support a moderately impaired individual who requires assistance with daily activities, including meal preparation and medication reminders. This role demands exceptional boundaries, attentiveness, and the ability to remain active while ensuring the client’s safety and well-being. The client may experience poor decision-making abilities and occasional hallucinations, so patience, understanding, and strong communication skills are essential. Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals who have cognitive impairments and behavioral challenges.
  • Exceptional ability to maintain professional boundaries and provide attentive care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain active and engaged with the client during shifts.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
  • Must be able to pass any required background checks and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the client with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
  • Provide medication reminders and monitor medication schedules.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment while managing challenging behaviors.
  • Stay attentive and active throughout the shift to meet the client’s needs.
  • Respect and maintain exceptional professional boundaries at all times.
  • Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
  • Support the client with daily living activities as needed.
