As a Home Care Aide (Client Specific) with Generations Home Care - Spokane, you will provide personalized, compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of individual clients in the Spokane, WA area. Your role will focus on helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort and safety of their own homes. We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Home Care Aide (Client Specific) to provide personalized care and support for a client on the South Hill. The ideal candidate will have mental health training, maintain exceptional professional boundaries, and demonstrate excellent listening skills. Understanding and respecting the client's preferences, including avoiding oversharing, is essential. Due to the client's history of falls, ensuring safety at all times is a top priority. The caregiver should also be able to drive the client to appointments reliably and safely.

Requirements

  • Mental health training or relevant experience supporting clients with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially active listening.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable and attentive to safety, particularly regarding fall prevention.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care tailored to the client's specific needs, with a focus on mental health support.
  • Maintain professional and exceptional boundaries in all interactions.
  • Actively listen and respond to the client's needs without oversharing personal information.
  • Ensure safety and fall prevention measures are consistently applied.
  • Drive the client to appointments and errands as scheduled.
