Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on caregiving experience in a home care, assisted living, or similar setting
  • Active and valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) certification (required)
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful toward clients and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow individualized care plans, document care accurately, and work collaboratively with a team
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
  • Assist with safe transfers and ambulation as needed
  • Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans
  • Prepare meals and assist with proper nutrition and hydration
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social engagement
  • Accompany clients to appointments or activities when required
  • Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in a client’s health, behavior, or condition to the care team
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for clients
