About The Position
Lutheran Child and Family Services of Indiana/Kentucky, Inc. (LCFS) is a nonprofit social service organization founded in 1883. We provide residential and community-based services to children, families, and individuals, guided by our mission: “Engaging and Empowering Families and Community with Love, Compassion, Faith, and Support.” Our vision is that every community experiences safety and stability in an environment of respect, healing, and hope. The Home Based Therapist provides community-based mental health services to individuals and families experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. Services are delivered in homes, schools, and other community settings to help clients build stability and improve family functioning. Home Based Therapists primarily serve families on the East side of Marion County, Hamilton County, Hancock County, and Shelby County. Within your first 90 days, you will: Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments Develop treatment plans for clients and families Provide individual and family therapy Connect clients with community resources Maintain accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with the clinical team to support client progress
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health-related field
- Valid Indiana clinical license (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT)
- Minimum two years of mental health treatment experience
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Provide individual and family therapy in community settings
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Work with treatment teams and community partners
- Connect clients with community resources and services
- Support discharge planning and long-term stability
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Follow Behavioral Health Services policies and procedures
- Protect client confidentiality
