About The Position

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES : Shift - 3rd shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Check schedule to determine what should be run. Select print from computer legend. Apply print to insulated conductors in accordance with engineering specifications and standard production procedures. Set up and operate all necessary support equipment. Load supplies, unload and correctly identify finished reels. Perform quality checks on supply wire and finished wire. Monitor and control consistency and viscosity of inks as needed. Perform housekeeping duties, sweep floor, and perform other general duties to maintain the appearance of the department and plant. Perform transactions using the SAP System (confirmations, goods movement, etc.). Transport material to and from work station with fork lift. This description will cover most significant duties performed, but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned to this job. This job is designed to encompass a range of concurrent and relatively equal responsibilities. POSITION REQUIREMENTS : Color perception required. High school education or equivalent. Will fill out production report, quality reports, and make logbook entries. Simple math. Basic computer skills. Stamina (stand on concrete floor). Good physical condition. No color vision defects. Strength: Normally 25 to 70 pounds. Endurance: Objects handled are intermittent and in sequence with monitoring run. Some degree of skill required in selecting the proper print wheels and adjusting the printer head to achieve desired quality of print on the conductors. Must possess initiative to monitor and adjust quality during machine processes. EQUIPMENT USED : Vertical printer, take-ups, payoffs, in-line surface sparkers, electronic and mechanical counters, support equipment to include reels, scrapper, finished reel carts, chain hoists, fork lift, print wheels, various small hand tools, strobe lights and housekeeping equipment.
