Summary: The Pool Maintenance Technician upholds the standards of the community's pool areas, ensuring they remain clean, well-maintained, and safe for all residents. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Pool Maintenance Technician performs and refines skills in pool cleaning, water quality management, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. This role is crucial in maintaining the visual appeal and functionality of the community's recreational facilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a pool maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance techniques and equipment operation.
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with HOA residents and management.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent helpful.
  • Minimum of one year related job experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of pool areas, including water features, pool decks, and surrounding areas.
  • Test water quality and adjust chemicals (chlorine, pH, etc.) to maintain safe swimming conditions.
  • Operate and monitor pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters; troubleshoot and repair issues as necessary.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, skimming, brushing pool walls, and cleaning filters.
  • Ensure that safety equipment is in proper working condition and report any repairs or replacements needed.
  • Monitor chemical supplies and equipment inventory, replenishing as needed.
  • Comply with all health and safety standards, as well as local regulations for pool operations.
  • Respond to and resolve pool-related service requests from residents or HOA management.
  • Assist in preparing pools for seasonal openings and closures.
  • Maintain accurate records of water tests, chemical treatments, and maintenance activities.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
