This position is responsible for entering, validating, and quality-checking client and program data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for HUD-funded projects. This role ensures data integrity, assists with audits, supports reporting needs, and maintains compliance with HUD data standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enter client, service, and housing data in HMIS accurately and timely Perform regular data audits and consistency checks Reconcile discrepancies, validate client records, and flag errors for review Assist in preparing data for HUD, CoC, and internal reports Aid in generating basic reports (e.g. enrollments, exits, service usage) Ensure all data entry practices comply with HUD/HMIS data standards and privacy/security policies Coordinate with program staff to clarify missing or erroneous data. Report concerns to supervisor Assist in identifying systemic processes that could be enhanced to ensure data entry can be completed in a timely manner. Support onboarding and training of staff/end users (as needed) Maintain documentation of data processes, workflows, and data standards Assist with data cleanup projects or migrations Serves on agency committees as requested. Carries out additional duties essential to the above-stated responsibilities as assigned. Is mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners. Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others. Regular attendance at work location.
