About The Position

In the role as a HL7 Integration Engineer for GE HealthCare, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our Centricity Clinical Gateway product across mostly Central, Mountain and Pacific Time Zones. In this role you will support the interface development, testing, and go live events. You will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently, as well as support after hours go live events. HL7 Integration Engineers should hold a Cloverleaf Level 2 (or equivalent) certification and should be proficient in Windows applications. This role blends a highly technical acumen with a variety of IT and clinical customer facing interactions, requiring the ability to translate the interface integration into an end-user application.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, healthcare related or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years HL7 experience.
  • Cloverleaf Level 2 (or intermediate/equivalent leveling in Cloverleaf) Certification
  • Experience with EMR vendor integrations (Epic, Meditech, Cerner, VA, etc.).
  • Experience with ADT, Orders, Results, and Billing interfaces.
  • Proficient in Windows operation and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloverleaf Level 3 (or advanced/equivalent leveling).
  • Experience working with SQL Database.
  • VM Integration knowledge.
  • Familiarity with GE HealthCare Patient Care Solution products.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the integration of GE HealthCare products into various hospitals IT EMR systems.
  • Develop, configure, implement, and test a variety of HL7 interfaces.
  • Required to work on multiple projects, lasting a few weeks to an unlimited duration.
  • Ability to support customers in all time zones as well as after hour go-lives.
  • Self-starter who is motivated to work efficiently and effectively from home office.
  • Willingness to work with external customers throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop or improve tools, processes, or products, including service offerings.
  • Provide innovation for the improvement of current products and processes.
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
