About The Position

Pierce County’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic: Comprehensive life Resources is looking for a HIT intern to join our Information Services team in downtown Tacoma, WA. Function: The Health IT Support Technician Intern plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of CLR’s IT infrastructure. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge to students or recent graduates pursuing a career in Information Technology. The intern will work closely with the Health IT team to support end-users, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain IT systems.

Requirements

General proficiency working in Active Directory, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

Assist in providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Assist with projects such as security (antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls), upgrades, infrastructure deployments, etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and laptop hardware issues.
Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems.
Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts and permissions.
Document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system.
Provide support for peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
Assist in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement improvements to the support process.
Keep users and clients informed about the status of their issue resolution.
