About The Position
The Histotechnologist will perform histology services and provide support for the Artivion in-house pathology laboratory.
Requirements
- General laboratory experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Two years' experience in histotechnology preferred.
- Skilled in routine and special histochemistry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Properly operate and maintain tissue processing equipment.
- Prepare microscopic slides by processing samples, embedding into paraffin, cutting blocks on microtome, and routine staining.
- Perform special histologic stains as requested.
- Manage pathology laboratory supply inventory.
- Prepare specimens for return shipment as required.
- Perform selected gross examinations as assigned.
- Assist with generating reports as requested.
- Perform other duties as requested by the pathologist or Medical Director.
- Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM.
