About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Histology Technician (ASCP-HT) for an 18-week assignment in a high-volume, fast-paced laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong embedding and microtomy skills and be comfortable working independently. First-time travelers are not accepted.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of histology experience
• ASCP-HT Certification (Required)
• Strong embedding and microtomy skills in a high-paced lab
• Tissue processing experience
• Embedding & Microtomy
• Automated and Manual Microtome
• Cutting tissue sections using microtome and cryostat
• Cutting blocks
• Embedding GI specimens
• Embedding large specimens
• Embedding molds
• Embedding small and large specimens
• Skin embedding techniques
• Histology cassettes
• Microtomy of fatty tissue
• Microtomy of hard tissue
• Paraffin wax sections
• Precision microtomy
• Staining Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) stain
• Preparing slides for staining
