Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Prepare and set up patient charts. Pull Charts for next day visits to comply with the site determined schedule. Copy charts as needed. Answer calls and obtain release medical information, as requested, following HIPPA guidelines. Patient Records Assembles patient health information including but not limited to exam results, x-ray reports, lab tests, procedures, and treatment plans. Clerical Communicates with outside facilities to obtain/release information as requested. Patient Records Reviews received forms for completeness, ensuring they are properly identified and that all necessary information is in the computer file. Patient Records Communicates with providers and patients, in-person and on the phone, as needed to obtain additional required information to ensure complete records. Records Management Provides charts/documents as requested for use in legal actions, following patient consent/confidentiality protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Medical Office/Medical Terminology

Responsibilities
